There are 3 vital leaders at the core of every healthy church:

1. Pauls who equip Timothys.

                 2. Timothys who empower the Faithful.

                3. The Faithful who influence the world.

Paul to Timothy Institute was formally launched on November 9, 2021. With very little promotion, over 100 leaders from throughout the US, and even from some other nations, came to be trained as Pauls to mentor their Timothys. We were shocked at the response. Within two years we grew to enrolling over 2,000 ministry leaders and now serve in multiple nations through six languages. We continue to enroll hundreds of ministry leaders in our training programs each year.

Our primary focus is on empowering pastors to launch Church-Based Training Centers in their churches to raise up their own Timothys.

We offer 2 resources:

1. Pastor to Pastor Mentoring for ministry networks        

• This prepares pastors to mentor their own ministry leaders, and to launch a Church-Based Training Center in their local church. 
• Pastors meet by video conference, in small groups with a P2T Executive Mentor Director, for 12 monthly sessions based on the Spirit-Empowered Leaders online curriculum.

2. Church-Based Training Centers

• Pastors develop lay leaders, developing ministry leaders and pastors through 9 courses that address essential areas of practical ministry.
• One course is offered each month, that includes short videos, pastor’s teaching outlines, podcasts and reflective journaling.
• Pastors meet with their students in the classroom 2 times per month.
• Completion of all 9 courses earns the Leading and Mentoring for Ministry Excellence certificate from Paul to Timothy and Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS).
• AGTS will extend 6 free credit hours toward their Master of Leadership and Ministry degree to those who earn this certificate.(This is a $2,000 value while the entire cost of the certificate is only $450) 

We serve 3 types of ministry leaders:

Lead pastors who are committed to developing their church’s core ministry team.

Ministry network leaders who are committed to building a mentoring network for their ministry leaders.

Apostolically called leaders who want to formally establish training centers for their ministry leaders, churches, and ministries.

How we partner with Lead Pastors:

We work with lead pastors in the US and many nations to formally launch a Church-Based Training Center in their church, where they train their present and potential ministry leaders. These are pastors who know that it is really important to have a formal way of developing new ministry leaders in their church when they see people with potential. The P2T Church-Based Training Center gives them a formal place to turn helpers into true ministry partners.

How we partner with Ministry Network Leaders:

We work with ministry network leaders who are passionate to personally invest in the pastors of their network. One of our Executive Mentor Directors will partner with the network leader, to help them mentor their pastors through our online curriculum and monthly mentoring video calls with groups of pastors over one year.

This does more than develop pastors. It also provides an opportunity for the network leader to cast vision, and personally bond with their pastors. Pastors very often feel isolated in ministry. This monthly meeting also helps them to build relationships with fellow pastors.

How we partner with Apostolically Gifted Leaders:

It may be helpful to share a simple story of how we recently launched P2T resources in several nations in Africa. Pastor Martin Nsimba from the Republic of Congo found Paul to Timothy through our website and reached out to share what he was doing and to explore a potential partnership. Martin was committed to training pastors to develop highly effective ministry teams. He clearly embraced the 2 Timothy 2:2 mandate to (a) discern, (b) recruit, (c) train, and (d) empower pastors and ministry leaders. From that initial inquiry grew a relationship where we trained Martin through our Pastor-to-Pastor Mentoring for Ministry Networks certification.  Martin was then ready to launch his ministry to train other ministry leaders.

As a starting point, Martin recruited 22 ministry leaders in his area for an introductory seminar at his training center. His training influence has grown to include the General Council of the Assemblies of God in the Republic of Congo, plus non-denominational ministry leaders in Kenya, the Ivory Coast, and Benin. He is now training these leaders in the Pastor-to-Pastor Mentoring for Ministry Networks certification and upon their graduation they will each launch their own Church-Based Training Center in their respective churches and ministry networks. Our partnership with Pastor Martin is resulting in several thousand African ministry leaders fulfilling the 2 Timothy 2:2 mandate in their individual churches. Martin’s leadership in the Republic of Congo has resulted in all four types of leaders (Lead Pastors, Ministry Network Leaders, the Apostolically Called, and Church Ministry Leaders) being trained to take their leadership to the next level through P2T resources.
